Front Porch Program

The Front Porch Program arose from a
need identified in the Richmond
community for barrier-free access to
counselling and support services. Women
Making a Difference committed to
annually fundraise for this program 13
years ago with the Tee Cup Charity Golf
Tournament.
With the success of the program came a
growing need for services - and a
continued need for funding. The Program
now relies not only on the tournament but
also on grants, individual and corporate donations.
Families and individuals self-refer directly to the program. Our
goal is to be proactive in providing families and individuals with
solutions to their emotional issues before they become
unmanageable.
The Front Porch program leads the way to
the future for this type of access for
individuals and families to receive the
support necessary to navigate life’s twist and
turns.

The Front Porch program is funded solely by
donations.
