Pathways to Hope Program
Connie Lam
Connie is a Family Support Worker in Touchstone’s Pathways program. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and has 15 years of experience working in a school setting. In addition, she has experience working with children with ASD and facilitating parenting group for Cantonese and Mandarin speaking parents with young children. Connie feels grateful she has the opportunity to be part of this multi-disciplinary team, working with Richmond families to support the child’s skill development and to strengthen the parent and child relationship.
Amy Fang
Amy holds a Masters of Applied Disability Studies degree with a specialization in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) from Brock University, and is also a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She has worked in the disabilities field for over 7 years and 4 years of direct ABA application. She has accumulated a wide range of skills working with individuals age 4-60 with various developmental disabilities. In addition to working with the clients directly, she has been providing parent and mediator training to help them implement the most appropriate strategies for the individual in need.
Amy strongly believes in fostering the independence of every individual she works with, strives to build on the individuals’ strengths, and to help them gain the autonomy and skills needed to succeed in their environment. She is extremely eager to utilize ABA application across individuals, settings, and behaviours!
Michell Hubble
Michelle joined the Pathways Early Years Intervention Team as a Family Support Worker in May 2023, and has worked at Touchstone in other positions since 2019. She is completing her Master of Counselling Psychology at Simon Fraser University, and looks forward to working with clients as a registered clinical counsellor once graduated. Outside of work you can find Michelle hiking, exploring, swimming or spending time with friends.
Mary Mae Oquendo
Mary Mae has a background in Early Childhood Education and holds a Master of Arts in Exceptional Student Education and Applied Behaviour Analysis from the University of West Florida. She is currently earning her supervision hours to sit for the Board Certified Behaviour Analyst exam. In addition to working in inclusive daycares for a decade, Mary Mae has worked as a behaviour interventionist and behaviour consultant, using Applied Behaviour Analysis for the past 4 years. She has experience in various areas including working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, parent training, and developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans. Mary Mae strives to help families gain the knowledge and skills needed to help set their children up for success.
