RESET Youth Program
RESET began its humble beginnings as the ‘Day Program in 2004 fully
where 3 staff provided school based and counselling support
funded by
for high risk Richmond youth. Fast forward to 2018 where we are now a team
of 7 – and still devoted to youth.
The program changed its name to ‘RESET‘ in 2015 to better reflect the
increasingly complex and complicated worlds teens have to navigate, but with us as
their cheerleaders. Positive change is always possible and the RESET mindset
guides our practice and more importantly, resets youth’s thinking and goals
towards successful outcomes.
I want to acknowledge the talents of the RESET staff, their commitment and, on
many days, the true doggedness the work of helping teens demands – thank you to
Keith and Lisa who have been with the program the longest; thanks to Barry for
youth mentorship and thanks to Chris, Julie and Moe for providing ‘’surrogate’
parent support for youth living on their own.
As we reflect on Touchstone celebrating 35 years, we are proud to be a part of
its future … here’s to the next 35 years of supporting and ‘cheerleading’
Richmond’s vulnerable youth.
