Family Preservation &

Family Reunification

Over the last 35 years the Family
Preservation and Reunification program has
provided a range of counselling and support
for family, youth and children. The program
provides services including counselling
work with children and youth, teaching
parenting skills, child development, family
counselling, parent teen mediation and
connecting families to available resources.

The program, known as “Special Services”
many years ago, has evolved to
include a significant amount of
prevention work. We support families
sooner - to make changes before more
difficulties happen, preventing many
families from coming into contact
with emergency and child protection
services.
Being well-established within the
community has allowed us to forge
strong relationships with partner
resources helping to strengthen
connections for families.
The Family Preservation & Reunification
program is funded by the Ministry of
Children and Family Development.
