Francis House
The Francis House Residential Treatment Program is a five-bed
resource located in Vancouver. This facility provides residential
care and treatment services for youth with severe behavioural,
emotional and mental health challenges. These young people have
experienced tragic histories of family conflict, childhood abuse,
and/or domestic violence.
The staff at Francis House provide an intensive, highly structured
program of group, individual and family counselling services. The
program model provides the opportunity to assist these difficult-to
-serve youth, to stabilize and improve their behaviour. Once they
demonstrate an ability to function safely, the program supports
youth to move back home or to a family care environment. The
targeted length of stay for a youth at Francis House is 6 to 9
months.
