The goal of the "Future Leaders" Working in Social Services Group is to empower youth and ready them for the jobs of tomorrow. This five session group is aimed at helping young people in grades 11 and 12 to gain skills and expose youth specifically to the social services field. Youth learn about postsecondary opportunities along with gaining work experience within the “School’s Out” group. This program is currently offered to Cambie Secondary students.

Youth participating in this group have the opportunity to:

  • learn about the different aspects of the social services field, including Restorative Justice Practices
  • Gain work experience with the "School" Out" program
  • Learn how to pursue a career path in social services
  • Learn about post-secondary programs related to the sector.

The "Future Leaders " Working in Social Services Group is funded by the United Way British Columbia and facilitated by Touchstone Family Association.
